Livery at Clarendon Stud – natural horsemanship and young horse handling including loading

My two year old filly spent approximately six winter months at Clarendon, 22/23, with Chris, Lucy and the girls. This included having her while we moved house 3 hours away.

She wasn’t the easiest to handle but Chris got her immediately and in a kind, patient, confident and knowledgeable way enabled her to work cooperatively with him.

He loaded her for me with ease from my field on the day she moved there. Then Chris and Lucy paired her up with one of their own yearlings enabling her to buddy up and settle in there with them.

Chris’s knowledge and use of horsemanship skills was impressive and instilled confidence in me that she was going to be handled with care.

She took easily to the change in routine and being amongst a larger group of horses which was the education I hoped she would have.

Chris kindly videoed her loading, to put my mind at rest, on her departure from them to join me in our new home.

She travelled really well and transitioned easily to the next yard.

Thank you all.
